Family Ice Fishing Fun on Fowler Lake

Today James took all 3 of his girls ice fishing for the first time on Fowler Lake in Oconomowoc.  What a beautiful day it was!  The sun was shining(my favorite part), hardly any wind and lots of thick ice!  I enjoyed finally understanding what ice fishing is all about.  Taking lots of time to drill the holes, set up your tip ups and wait!  (No really, we all enjoyed ourselves!)  People were playing catch out there or even golfing while waiting for their tip-ups to go up! We brought a  ball to toss around and the girls enjoyed being pulled in the sled James has to tote all of his ice fishing gear (there is lots!)

We all had a really good time and ended up staying out on the ice for 3 hours!  It made for a very nice day to spend together as a family.

Oh, and since Jenna is potty training and doing soooo well…she of course had to go while out on the ice.  With no where to pee, she was given the option of peeing in a bucket.  She did finally pee in the bucket, but only after peeing in her undies, pant and snow pants!!!  Oh, well.   It made for some laughs, especially when I stripped her of her went undies and pants to put back on her snow pants.
