Family Fun at the Amusement Park

We took the kids to Little Amerricka in Marshall, WI. It is between my home and Madison. I had bought a Groupon for super cheap for the four of us and it was well worth the price. (it came to like only $8 a person!)  The crowds were nonexistent and the weather great.  Rides for both large and small.  I took a few pictures that I thought turned out pretty nice.

This roller coaster was awesome.  We all went on it the very first thing.  Its went around 4 times before we had to get off.  Jadyn loved it, Jenna not so much.

One of my favorites, but I realized today that I  just don't have the stomach for any of these rides anymore.  Don't see a trip to the true Great America anytime in my near future. 

The Ferris Wheel

We took at 3 mile train ride through and beyond the park.  It was odd.  One minute there was geese, llamas, sheep, and then zebras and long horned steers.

Kinda creepy but who doesn't like the Carousel?


Jimmy is working with the new camera too.  He did a pretty good job I think.  Its nice to get in a picture once and a great while.

p.s.  I would not pay full price for this place.  At $8 each we definitely got our moneys worth, but the gold band pkg we had goes for $22 at the gate.  Don't say I didn't warn you.

Stitch Fix. I tried it.

Well I did it, finally.  I ordered my first Stitch Fix.  I have to say I am a bit disappointed and I was so excited and hopeful.  I did end up with a pair of jeans that I surprisingly like.  Length is long like I like and they are a dark wash.  Nice to have another pair to wear. (I have like 10 pairs, I wear one.)   I did tell MY STYLIST that I do not like short pants.  Too short and I will not wear.  She did take that into consideration and I was happy about that!   What I learned - I need to specify NO BLOUSES.  I do not wear them.  Becky told me they (Stitch Fix) likes blouses.  I do not.  Also, while the dress they sent me when I first looked at it was like UGH, but I tried it on and it was actually ok. But, I am not in the market for a dress right now. So it would hang in the closet. Just a note on the pictures.  I am sick with a nasty cold and really don't have a lot of energy to put much into this, plus its been a llllloooooooonnnggggg time since I last blog

Baby Back Ribs - the super easy way!

This turned out to be a super easy way to have delicious baby back ribs during the week.  Normally, I would never attempt anything like this during the week because it would usually be a meal that would require that I  drag out the grill to do.  In this cold - getting really old, Wisconsin winter, I do not want to deal with the grill.  That's James' deal, not mine and if we waited till he got home we wouldn't be eating til 9pm!  (that's bedtime, silly!) Carol's Baby Back Ribs  1 rack of baby back ribs, cut into 3-4 rib sections. Salt/Pepper/Paprika BBQ Sauce In your slow cooker (oh, yes...I did forget to mention it uses the trusty SC) spray the sides down with cooking spray.  Place the ribs in the SC and cook on Low 8-10 hours  (high for 5-6).  After the allowed time to cook, take out ribs and place in pan.  Slather with your favorite BBQ sauce and cook in 350 oven for 30 minutes.   Yup! Its that easy!  You could put a rub on the ribs of your liking

Hit the road James, Jenny, Jadyn and Jenna!

Well, if all went as planned we should be on the road by now.  I planned on going into work on Friday at 4 AM, and not take a lunch so I can be out and on my way home by Noon.  Hopefully on the road by 1:30 pm.   We are totally winging this first day/nights drive.  We were initially going to stop 1/2 way through Minnesota, but are plans have changed and we are going to see how its going and try to get to Souix Falls, SD instead.  Push it hard one day, take it easier the next days drive....   We are all super excited and hopefully I can come home with some awesome pictures and great memories!
