Who knew!

Who knew I would ever...ever like to run!  But I do!  If I would have known all it would have taken was an  Ipod, I would have bought one years ago!  I started doing this 5K training program but really don't find the time to be able to run every other day like I should according to the program.  The time is hard for me to find(cause I cant just leave my young children alone...well I could but that would be bad) but also lately its been the weather.  Until today.  I was driving home from picking up Jenna from daycare and drove by a girl running and thought, "dang, it would be a good day to go for a run when I get home" and it worked because James called me to tell me he was already home.  Sweet!  So I got all geared up to go,stepped outside and it was misting.  I went anyways.  I think it was meant to be...why?  Because turning the corner to head up the hill during my warm up appeared a beautiful rainbow!

I have always really liked to exercise, but I am not one to push myself like one would need to.  It gets hard I usually think that is enough. So classes led by instructors usually is what I have done in the past.  I still do partake in a 'Strictly Sculpting' class at work for the last 3 years every Tues and Thurs and love the class.  Love the results I have gotten from the class.  The instructor is brutal and awesome!  Love her!  Love my arms too!  (Ask James how often I flex in the mirror!!!!  Ha!)

So the fact that I thoroughly like running is quite a surprise to me!  A stress relief and time for myself.  Plus listening to my music while the lady chimes in to tell me to run or walk helps the time fly as well as make it seem like less hard work.

Believe me....it is not easy and some days I hurt afterward.  But the feeling of accomplishment I get after I am done is amazing.

(Weather in WI is not nice for running most times of the year...Summer is too stinking hot and winter is too stinking cold...may have to find myself a treadmill for those days!  Where to put the big thing is the next problem!)

  1. This is the best time of year for running! I always look forward to October for the running weather. I prefer it cool and a bit overcast. I started running on a treadmill but find that I enjoy being outside way more. It suffices during crappy weather though.
