Snowflake Wreath


Yes, I liked Becky's snowflake wreath and I felt compelled to make one of my own.  Its a little different, but I like how it turned out!  Am I becoming crafty in 2012?!?!?  I kinda feel like my Aunt Frannie...for those who know who I am talking about....please please please let me know if my house starts to smell like moth balls!!!

    Jenny, I love it! It turned out great! You could have joined us later in January, but now you have the wreath to enjoy throughout the whole month!

Well tonite I attempted yet another recipe I recently pinned from Pinterest.  When my husband heard we were having salad for dinner, he wasn't too impressed. Though once I made it he said "looks nothing like I thought it would" and "looks good!"  It was good.  Lots of ingredients I thought, but the fact that I worked today, went grocery shopping after work (all by myself!!!) and then came home to cook dinner may be reasons why it seemed like a lot of work.  Really it wasn't. Camping in the Backyard!

Ever since Jadyn and I watched the kids on Jon & Kate + 8, go camping in their backyard, she has been asking Daddy if we could do this. Well, the summer just flew by and available weekends are getting s care, so Daddy set up the tent Saturday. Jadyn was way excited! We sat by the fire and toasted marshmellows, made smores, swung on the swings in the dark, went on adventures(we had the LawnMower Moster chasing us)! Finally at 1030, they headed for bed in the tent. By only the lite of her little latern and princess flashlite, Daddy read her a book and they went to sleep. I guess Jadyn just kept talking and talking until Daddy told her to zip it! Jadyn slept decent on her princess blow up mattress/sleeping bag...Daddy not so well. Since we had not used our air mattress in like 5 years, the batteries had corroded in it and well it was garbage. COOKIES!

If you are anything like me you have a recipe that calls for some strange ingredient, so you buy it and are left with lots of that ingredient you don't normally use that often.  Well that happened to me recently when I decided to make a pancake recipe that called for whole wheat flour (I think it only called for 1/2 cup).  Now I have what looks like 10 cups of whole wheat flour to use up.  I had noticed a recipe on the back of the Gold Medal Flour bag that I thought I might try.  Well I did not forget about it and on Wednesday I had some extra energy to blow so I baked!  To my surprise these dang cookies are very good.  I didn't tell people what the secret ingredient was until they ate one and they all thought it was oatmeal.  These cookies do taste different, but in a good way.  I figure these cookies even have fiber in them!
